Top Universities in India 2013

We have compiled a list of the top universities in India based on the India Today-Nielson 2013 survey. This survey covers the top universities in India in the arts, science, and commerce streams. A list of 170 universities was drawn for the survey, considering only those universities that offer at least two postgraduate courses in arts, science and commerce. More than 300 experts who were deans, registrars, heads of departments and professors) from different streams across India were asked to rate these universities (except their own university) between February and May 2013. Finally the universities were ranked based on their overall perceptual scores and a list of the top 85 universities was generated. A final list of the top 50 universities of India for the year 2013 was generated based on the data received from these universities.
