There are 224 members of the Vidhana Sabha or the Legislative Assembly of Karnataka state. The state of Karnataka is divided into 224 constituencies used to elect the Legislative assembly members. Last date for making nominations - 23-04-2008 Polls - 10-05-2008
Phase II
Last date for making nominations - 29-04-2008 Polls - 16-05-2008
Phase III
Last date for making nominations - 03-05-2008 Polls - 22-05-2008
Counting shall be undertaken on 25-May-2008.
Model code of conduct has been implemented in the state with immediate effect.
